Canadians in Solidarity with Cuba Strike Back
Last week saw another CBC hit piece on the success of Cuba’s Revolution. Luckily, Canadians in solidarity with Cuba aren’t taking it lying down.
In a video, The Canada Files' Editor-in-Chief, Aidan Jonah, exposes how CBC 'journalist', Evan Dyer, platformed Cuban-Canadian dissidents who claim intimidation without proof, following in a historical trend that benefits Canadian imperialism.

Reg's Wish: Canadians Helping the Blind in Cuba

The Canadian Network on Cuba launches the latest campaign “Reg’s Wish” to help Cubans.
There are currently 30,000 Cubans registered with the Cuban Blind Association. That includes almost 1,000 children. We asked the Association, “what is their greatest need?”. The answer was surprising: white canes. Something as simple as a cane can help someone with little or no sight navigate in a very challenging world. Especially a young child.
It was even more surprising to learn that the immediate need is for 7,000 canes. So that is our goal.
Initial estimates suggest that a cane will cost approximately $10. For every $10 donated we will place a cane in the hand of an adult or child in Cuba.
How can you help?
Please go to cubacan.org. You will read who Reg was, and what he wished. You will find how you can donate
The Che Brigade Has Returned!

Welcome Leima Martinez of ICAP
The Canadian Network on Cuba is happy to announce the arrival of Leima Martinez who is the new Director of the North American desk of ICAP to Canada!
Leima participated in the LASA (Latin American Studies Association) Conference in Vancouver that took place from May 24th to May 27th. She was part of a delegation of at least 15-20 Cubans who attended the conference.
We are thrilled to have Leima here to visit us in Canada and look forward to the CNC members having the opportunity to strengthen their relationships with Leima and ICAP, and collaborate with her to build up the Cuba solidarity movement in Canada.
